Mains filters can be extremely effective in reducing and in some cases eliminating QRM from the electricity supply to your shack. If you have a hash-like noise covering a broad range of frequencies, a mains filter may help. If you are able, a quick check by using a 12V battery supply on your radio will remove any QRM coming over your mains power and help confirm the noise source.
Altronics and Jaycar both offer a selection of EMI filters. These can assist in filtering electromagnetic interference (EMI).
